Match payload to decision needs
The camera is where inspection value is created. RGB delivers visual records; thermal quantifies hot spots; multispectral reveals vegetation stress. Before buying, confirm the payload is compatible with your platform, that firmware is field-upgradable, and that reporting software exports the formats your engineers actually use.
Plan for the second year
Total cost of ownership includes batteries, spare parts, training, firmware and service. A drone that sits in a case because nobody can fly or repair it is the most expensive drone of all. Buy from suppliers who provide localized training, documentation and spare-part planning.
